The University of Science and Technology – Aden holds a ceremony to honor top achievers and outstanding individuals in scientific research, cultural and sports competitions

In a joyful atmosphere of honoring the top students, which reflected the university’s appreciation for the outstanding students, the Student Affairs Department at the University of Science and Technology – Main Center Aden, held a ceremony on Tuesday morning, January 21, 2025, to honor the top students for the academic year 2023-2024. The ceremony was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Student Affairs, Dr. Munir Al-Abadi, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Fatima Qahtan, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Computers, Dr. Nasr Al-Saqqaf, the Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Human Sciences, Dr. Mahmoud Abdo Thabet, the heads of departments, the Director of the Marketing and Public Relations Department, Dr. Samir Muthanna, and the Director of the Financial Department, Mr. Othman Abdullah. Also in attendance were guests of the university, Professor Dr. Abdul Qader Al-Abadi, Dean of the Arab Academy for Administrative, Financial and Banking Sciences, and the parents of the honored students. The ceremony was opened by the Assistant President of the University, Dr. Munir Al-Abadi, with a speech in which he welcomed all those present, and praised the honored students, explaining that the university is keen to honor the top and outstanding students in various fields as an encouragement to its students, and to motivate them to continue to excel and be distinguished. The university's assistant president added that this recognition contributes to creating a positive competitive environment among university students, as they strive to achieve top ranks. The ceremony included honoring the top students from all university colleges, departments and levels, as well as honoring university students who received awards for outstanding researchers, in addition to honoring the winners of cultural competitions in the fields of poetry, short story and drawing, and the winners of various sports activities.
