The President of the University of Science and Technology meets with the President of King Khalid University on the sidelines of the 2024 Arab University Ranking ceremony.

In the context of strengthening academic cooperation and exchanging experiences between Arab universities, the President of the University of Science and Technology - Aden, Professor Dr. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed, met with the President of King Khalid University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways of joint cooperation in academic and research fields, and the possibility of exchanging experiences and scientific programs between the two universities. Commemorative shields were also exchanged in appreciation of the academic relations between the two institutions. This meeting came as part of the participation of the President of the University of Science and Technology - Aden in the “Future Trends - Universities and Sustainable Development” forum, which was held by King Khalid University on Monday and Tuesday, February 10-11, 2025, in strategic partnership with the Asir Region Development Authority and the Association of Arab Universities, where the forum witnessed the attendance of a large number of presidents of universities and higher education institutions in the Arab world. The meeting was preceded by the distribution ceremony for the Arab University Ranking Certificates 2024, in which the Acting President of the University of Science and Technology - Aden, Professor Dr. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed, received the university’s honorary shield, after it obtained the twenty-fifth place in the Arab world, within the Arab University Ranking for the year 2024. This meeting is an important step towards strengthening academic cooperation between the University of Science and Technology - Aden and King Khalid University, within the framework of efforts to improve the quality of higher education and enhance research partnerships between Arab universities.
