Holding a workshop to develop the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery program

On Tuesday, February 4, 2025, the Deanship of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Science and Technology - Main Center Aden held a workshop to develop the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery program. The workshop was attended by Prof. Dr. Khaled Omar Baslim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the Educational Affairs Sector, Prof. Dr. Omar Zain Al-Saqqaf, Head of the Supreme Medical Council, Prof. Dr. Huda Baslim, Member of the Academic Accreditation Council, Dr. Bashir Al-Fadhli, representative of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Muhammad Sheikh, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Aden University, Dr. Muhammad Hassan Al-Saqqaf, Head of the Republic Hospital Authority, and Dr. Jamal Khadabakhsh, Director of the University of Science and Technology Hospital. The workshop also saw the participation of a select group of academics from inside and outside the university, in addition to a number of students and graduates from the Medicine and Surgery program. The workshop included a discussion and approval of the mission statement of the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery program, its objectives, learning outcomes, graduate specifications, and the study plan included in the program development plan. This workshop comes as part of the University of Science and Technology – Aden’s interest in developing its study programs and preparing them to obtain academic accreditation. #University of Science and Technology
