University of Science and Technology – Aden: Ranked 25th in the Arab world

In the 2024 Arab University Rankings, the University of Science and Technology – Aden ranked 25th in the Arab world, advancing 34 places in just one year. It also achieved first place nationally among private universities and first place among Yemeni universities in the participation index. It is worth noting that the Arab University Ranking is published annually by the “Arab University Ranking Council (ARU)”, which was established through joint cooperation between the Association of Arab Universities, the League of Arab States, the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), and the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils, with the aim of improving the outputs of higher education and scientific research, through this ranking. The ranking in evaluating universities is based on 4 key performance indicators: the teaching and learning indicator, the scientific research indicator, the creativity and innovation indicator, and the participation indicator. It is worth noting that the number of universities included in the ranking has increased this year compared to last year, 2023, both at the Arab and local levels. The University of Science and Technology – Aden has also recently achieved first place in the QS World University Rankings, and with this new ranking it confirms its merit and strengthens its established position at the Yemeni and Arab levels.
