The University of Science and Technology – Aden has won first place among Yemeni universities in the first national ranking of Yemeni universities in 2024.

The University of Science and Technology – Aden achieved first place among Yemeni universities in the national ranking of Yemeni universities in its first session for the year 2024 AD, which was issued by the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training, and announced its final results on Monday, March 17, 2025 AD. On this occasion, the Acting President of the University of Science and Technology, Professor Dr. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed, congratulated the University of Science and Technology family on this achievement, directing his thanks to all members of the university, to the university students and their parents, to all governmental, private and mixed entities concerned, and to the local community, stressing everyone’s participation in the continuation of the university’s achievements, and its attainment of first place in the national ranking. It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has launched the National University Ranking, which relies on specific criteria and indicators to evaluate universities, focusing on scientific research, community service, infrastructure and other essential criteria that contribute to the advancement of universities, and enable them to achieve their mission in an integrated manner, and in line with local and international trends. The university’s ranking at the top of the national classification is further confirmation of the excellence of the University of Science and Technology – Aden, and its importance is highlighted by the fact that it is issued by the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training, the body responsible for higher education and scientific research in the country.
