The training workshop "Self-Study Report and Academic Accreditation Requirements" concluded at the University of Science and Technology - Aden.

of Science and Technology – Main Center Aden, concluded today, Tuesday, April 15, 2025, with the participation of a number of members of the Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council for Higher Education, and presented by Professor Ahmed Al-Saba’i, a member of the Academic Accreditation Council. The workshop targeted the self-study preparation committees in the programs nominated for academic accreditation, namely: Medicine and Surgery, Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery, Pharmacy, Civil Engineering, and Business Administration. The two-day workshop aimed to develop the participants’ knowledge and skills in preparing self-study reports in accordance with the requirements of academic accreditation, and to enhance their ability to evaluate academic programs, thereby contributing to raising the quality of programs and aligning them with the standards of the Accreditation Council. The workshop was opened with a speech by Professor Abdulghani Hamid Ahmed, Acting President of the University, in which he welcomed the trainer and participants, praising the importance of such workshops in supporting the university’s efforts towards academic accreditation and improving its educational programs. The training program included a number of important topics, most notably: the basic requirements for self-study reports, assessment criteria, and the extent to which the reports meet academic accreditation standards, in addition to training on the use of assessment tools, and extensive discussions on the role of self-assessment in improving and developing academic programs. The workshop was characterized by a remarkable interaction from the participants, and constructive discussions that contributed to enriching the training content and enhancing practical benefit, reflecting everyone’s keenness to apply best practices in preparing self-study reports and meeting the requirements of academic accreditation. #University_of_Science_and_Technology
