30th anniversary celebration

The University of Science and Technology, Hadramout branch, celebrated its thirtieth anniversary this Saturday morning at the National Theater Hall in the governorate's headquarters, in a ceremony attended by the Deputy Governor of Hadramout, Professor Hassan Al-Jilani, representatives of universities in Hadramout, and directors of civil society institutions. In his speech during the celebration, the Deputy Governor of Hadhramaut, Professor Hassan Al-Jilani, praised the great role played by the University of Science and Technology in training academic staff, pointing to the successes and outstanding contributions achieved by the university over thirty years that have positively affected Hadhramaut Governorate and Yemen in general. Al-Jilani expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the university administration and faculty in developing academic programs and organizing community events that contribute to raising awareness among young people and educating them about the importance of their role in building their society. He also expressed his hope that the university will continue to develop its programs and broaden its horizons, thus contributing to achieving Hadramawt's vision of becoming a model in education and comprehensive development. Then Professor Dawood Al-Hadabi, Chairman of the University’s Board of Directors, delivered a speech in which he expressed his pride in the scientific and academic progress achieved by the university, stressing the continued pursuit of excellence in higher education in Yemen. Professor Al-Hadabi concluded his speech by emphasizing that the University of Science and Technology will continue its journey in achieving excellence and innovation, while adhering to its mission of serving the community, graduating a new generation of competent individuals capable of leading the future, and actively contributing to the development of Yemen and its scientific and cultural advancement. Dr. Alawi Al-Aidaroos, the director of the university branch, also delivered a speech on this occasion, in which he reviewed the history of the university branch since its establishment and its pioneering role in developing higher education in Hadhramaut and Yemen. Al-Aidaroos expressed his pride in the university's achievements in education and scientific research, and affirmed the university's commitment to continuing its educational journey and expanding its academic programs to serve students and the community. The ceremony included various artistic performances, in addition to a documentary report entitled “Thirty Years of Giving,” which reviewed the university’s achievements and its impact on society. In conclusion, the entities cooperating with the university were honored.
