The volleyball league was launched as part of the sports activities for the 2024-2025 academic year.

The Student Affairs Department at the University of Science and Technology - Aden Main Center launched the Volleyball League, as part of the series of sports activities for the academic year 2024-2025, in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Student Affairs, the Student Affairs Department, and the Marketing and Public Relations Department. The event began with an inspiring speech to the participating students about the importance of sports in university life, as well as its role in creating a competitive atmosphere filled with athletic enjoyment and high moral character. It was also noted that university student athletes would be involved in local inter-university sporting events. The first match of the league was held between the Dentistry team - Level 5 and the Human Medicine team - Level 3, and the match ended with the Human Medicine team - Level 3 winning with a score of (2-1).
