Field visit for clinical nutrition students to the oil company

As part of the celebration of World Diabetes Day, third-level students in the Therapeutic Nutrition and Dietetics program at the Department of Health Sciences at the University of Science and Technology - Aden Main Center visited the Oil Company in Al-Mualla, as part of the activities organized to raise awareness about diabetes and the importance of proper nutrition in preventing it. This visit aimed to promote health awareness among the employees of the oil company in Al-Mualla, and to guide them to follow healthy lifestyles through balanced nutrition and exercise, as well as to guide them on the importance of conducting periodic medical examinations to detect diabetes. The students and their supervisor, Professor Al-Anoud Walid Al-Taheri, were received by a number of company officials, who warmly welcomed this visit. During the visit, the students organized an awareness lecture on the importance of controlling blood sugar levels and the role of proper nutrition in prevention and treatment. They also provided a detailed explanation of the risk factors associated with diabetes and the importance of early screening. The visit also included the students providing healthy meals to company employees, specially prepared to meet the needs of people with diabetes and promote healthy eating habits. The students also distributed informational brochures containing nutritional advice, designed to educate employees on disease prevention and the importance of a balanced diet.
